National conference was a huge HIT!

I just got back from New Jersey where I attended the national ObesityHelp conference with my friends Glenn and Terri. This was one of the most incredible experiences since I had this surgery. There were so many breakout classes and discussion, motivational stories, doctors who were not just standing in front of the class but talking to many of us one on one..there were tons of classes to chose from- my head was swimming..we met vendors who were very generous with their time and products..the dance on Sat. night was alot of fun I hadn't danced in years! Sunday was very emotional when they did a special tribute to those who had lost weight..asking each loser to sit when their weight class was announced after they handed them a pin, in the end my friend Glenn was the last person standing as he had lost 337 lbs..he got a special hug from Dr. Ganz and a pin then was asked to tell his story.. I sat and cried through the whole thing..what a guy he is..Glen is from NKY ..he will be telling this same story at the regional conference in Cincinnati on August 20th.. you can email me for the details there will be alot posted on the conference as soon as BoMcCoy and Dr. Ganz rest up from the incredible job they had this past weekend..
