WHO IS GOING TO THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE?????

12 more days until the BIG day!!!! Who all is going?? I know I am. We go every single year and my girl just loves it. Her daddy sets up a tent just in case she gets to tired but she ends up playing in there to cool off. I am so exiced this year!! This year, I am going 127 pounds lighter than last year. I know that the foods up there won't bother me to much, they didn't last year either really, only the funnel cake will be hard on me. Bug loves those things and thinks she has to have one. I just love watching the air show and the fireworks. The hot looking soldiers are also fun to look at. Yes, I have a thing for soldiers. Sorry, can't help. I married one, then he got hurt and medically put out. The saddest day for both of us. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else was going to Thunder Over Louisville. I won't miss it for the world. We go rain or shine. We just love it so much!! Toni

I will be there----I'll be the one waving from the Belle Of Lousivlle. Thunder is a blast!!! last year was the coolest---it was my first year on the Belle---there are NO OBSTRUCTIONS ---NONE---to your view from there...It was ssssoooo awesome! My little girl is only 5 (just TOO long of a day for her) so she will stay home w/ her dad while my sister and I go 'thundering!" KABOOM!!! cant wait! Mare

I'd love to go! Every year we watch it on TV and tell ourselves that NEXT year we will make hotel reservation and go in person. Any suggestion on where to stay would be appreciated. -joanne s

I am not sure of the prices and such, so I really dont want to suggest a certain place; BUT I would suggest that you start researching NOW for next year. From what I hear, the hotels sell out FAST! I know, on the belle of louisville, we can usually still get tickets about a month ahead of time----might be an option for you. Who needs a room????? We never get a room. We don't live that far from you, in fact, my brother livs in Lexington as you do. He went with us and drove on back home that night. We just take our cooler, our chairs, blankets for the kiddo and we are set for the day. Oh yeah, cammis too. Can't get enough pics of the kiddo. LOL Some people even rope off some area so their stuff don't get stepped on. LOL. The prices for a hotel almost doubles for this event and has to be may a year or two in advance, anyway that is what I am told. I ever tried to stay in a room, we always looked at it as we don't live that far from Louisville, driving we were home by 12:30 or 1 am. Not bad really.
