looking into the lap band. feedback please!

I am looking into the lap band proccedure and would love to have feedback from someone that has been thru this with the pros and cons. i have been searching for positive out comes. my concearn is my time off work and the infection rates. also looking for the best surgeon in the lexington area. any replys would be great. thanks, [email protected] is my direct email.

I just sent you a private email. I only live about 20 minutes from you. I had lapband surgery in August 2004 and have lost 72 lbs. I was off work for 1 week by choice. I could have gone back sooner, but really needed some time off because of work stress from before the surgery. Infection rate for lap surgery is very low. The only surgeons in the Lexington area that do lapband are Drs. Weiss and Oldham in Georgetown. They are wonderful. The before care, during care, and after care are phenominal.
