Totally Bummed out now.

I got brave and called my insurance company, Anthem Blue Access, and I was told flat out, that this policy wouldn't allow coverage for the surgery for any reason, even if medically necessary. I am so totally bummed by this. I'm not sure how to proceed or if I should just give up on it all together. I wish I could pay out of pocket, or get a new insurer that I could afford to pay out of pocket. Bleh..I just want a gallon of ice cream and a can of Hershey's syrup and pig out now.. Mary PS anyone ever gotten a cash grant? I am concidering it myself...

Sounds like we are both in the same position..I can't find insurance at all that I can afford on my own to cover the insurance or any self pay programs, so if you find out any helpful information could you please pass it along? I would seriously appreciate it. Good Luck, Tracey

I'm actually looking into grant money. My husband ordered that Lansko free money book that is advertised alot on TV. So I'll let you know what we learn. At least I know he's still rooting for me to get this done. Yay. Mary

That's great you have someone giving you support, I'm a divorced-widowed mother of two, so I'm pretty much on my own about getting this done, seems I get so close but nothing ever falls through for me. Thanks again, and if I find any info out I'll let you know as well. Tracey
