Can i come to your support group?
I cannot find a support group near me.
I am willing to travel to louisville, lexington or just about anywhere..
I have tried elizabethtown, but i can't find any information on their
support groups. I am pre-op but i need to join a support group for
insurance purposes and also after care.
I also need to find a licensed phychiatrist, which I am finding hard to do.
thanks so much,
Kim
Kim it seems there is one in E-town.
Angela Russel or Shirley Wright may know about it. I think it is held at the new gym close to the Home Depot behind the E-town mall.
I know there are support groups in Louisville with the Right Weight Clinic. My friend Karen went and was not impressed. You may really enjoy it, we are all different.
I think it would be nice to start a support group? I live in Hart county, and several others live in Hardin co. You are too far from any of us. Once a month even would nice. Let me know what you think.

Weekly emotional support group meetings are available for the emotional issues associated with weight loss surgery, and it's effects. These meetings are facilitated by Mary Cynthia Knowles, a weight loss surgery patient, who has extensive training in dealing with emotional issues. These meetings are every Wednesday evening from 7pm-8:30pm in our office. Mary Cynthia charges $5.00 per session. These meetings are open to any pre-op or post-op weight loss surgery patient. No meeting will be held if it falls on the same night as one of our monthly support group meetings.

I didn't know about a group meeting in Elizabethtown (If anyone has any further information on that I would appreciate it). I know there was a group meeting in Radcliff at the Hardin County Library every third Monday. You might call the library to find out more information.
I am planning on attending the Right Weigh support group at Norton Suburban in Louisville tonight. I had my surgery there, but have only attended one support group meeting in the past year. Tonight we are having a Bariatric psychologist discusss --"It's not what you eat--it's what's eating you!"
