BMI chart
Thanks!! I'm not done losing weight yet... I'm only 5 1/2 months out current weight of 209 and I need to get down to 155. I'm hoping that I don't need it terribly bad because my insurance will not pay for it, so it really isn't an option! But bottom line is that I already feel so much better since I started this journey!! I may change my mind later, but right now I'm thinking I can tolerate some sags and bags if it means I can fit in regular sized clothing again!

Hey Kim sweetie!! Iuse thinnerself.com It tracks from your date of surgery on, and shows how your bmi has lowered and where you are on the scale of obese to normal. Sorry I havent posted lately. Ive been pretty busy. We found out we are pregnant, and due in NOvember. This will be a new journeyfor us since I have had GBS and will be monitored closely. Hope you are doing well. Take care sweetie- Melissa
Kim thank you very much! My surgeon wouldve like it if I was atleast a year out from surgery, but said I would be fine. They like you to wait, ofcourse to get the best benefit from your surgery in that first year post op, plus with us malabsorbing, it is very important to make sure the baby is getting all its nutrient needs. I was nervous at first about having complications with pregancy due to the GBS, but that has faded. I feel very safe and in the best of hands with my OB, they are keeping a close eye on my labs, and I will have a minimum of 3 ultrasounds. Ive had 2 already because of bleeding, that were either from implantation or a UTI I had gotten. So I will still be getting at least 3 more through out my pregnancy. The hardest time I am having is due to my panic attacks, which I did not have during my first pregnancy. My meds have been lowered and some stopped due to not safe for baby, so I am still adjusting there. As for having a baby after GBS, I see no problems, if you are thinking of conceiving, just make sure you find a great OB who is also knowlegeable about the surgery we had. It is very important to make sure we are getting all the nutrients we need for a growing baby. A normal pregnancy we are told to add about 300 calories to or daily intake, but with being able to eat very little, it is alot harder. I was told not to worry about counting calories, and to keep eating healthy and taking my supplements. IF anything starts to go low in my blood tests, they will give me supplements to correct it instead of having me try to consume more food.- Melissa
