Hello everyone, Just wanted to pass on the good news. I am 4 weeks out and have said "Goodbye" to 40 lbs. This is the most wonderful feeling I have had in a long time. My clothes are drooping on me and I have had to go down a size in pants . Thankfully I have several wardrobes in my closet. In reviewing several of the other posts, I would like to say that I too would like to have a support group in the Mt. Sterling area. Perhaps we could provide our own support if there is none available. Let me know. Debra

Marie, Mt. Sterling is about a 1/2 hour east of Lexington on I64. Did you ever figure out how to retrieve the email I sent? Did you contact the surgery center to see if they will meet with you before you go to the introduction seminar? Usually that is the first step before they will give any appointments. I did email Dr. Steiner before I went to the seminar because I had to verify that he would be able to do my surgery without using blood transfusions (I had other doctors flatly refuse). I was amazed (and nearly fell off my chair) and very pleased when within MINUTES I received a phone call from him! Obviously that doesn't always happen, but he'd just responded to my email and realized he didn't have anything pressing so he called and discussed my concerns with me. Good luck with your meeting tomorrow! Let us know how it goes, ok? Rhonna

I would totally be for having a support group in Mt. Sterling! I'm in Richmond so it would be less than an hour away. I'm wanting to have WLS and was looking at some of the places that had the support groups...very few and far in between! I would be in support for the Mt. Sterling support group!
