Hi Fellow Kentuckians, Hope everything is going well for each and everyone of you. I haven't updated in a while so I thought I might gloat just a bit. I am approximately 12 weeks post-op and have lost 47.5 pounds. I am feeling great - I have energy and am loving myself again. I have to say at first the journey was difficult (or at least the head hunger was) but now it has become my new way of life and I don't even pay attention to food. Don't get me wrong - I still eat but it's not an obsession any longer. I am finally able to tell I am losing weight. I pulled a shirt out of the closet the other day, put it on and it was huge on me when last year it was little. When I put that shirt on I had my first "aw moment ." In pants I have went from a tight 28 to a loosey goosey 24. I am still wearing the same size shirts but they are really big and I need to purchase some new ones. We are leaving for our Florida vacation May 28th and my goal is to be 235 or less. I am anxious to go shopping so that I can find my true size at this point because I know that I should be wearing smaller clothes but I still see myself as being 300lbs and I buy clothes that are still in bigger sizes. I go back to the doctor March 17 for my three month post-op appt and I can't wait to see how many inches I have lost. I am finally back to the size I was before I got pregnant in 2000. I will update again soon! Christina -47.5 lbs gone forever 12 wks post-op

Christina...congratulations and what a great success story. I am 1 week and 2 days post-op and I'm doing well. I look forward to getting to my next stage: "mushy" foods. I, too, look forward to having me "awww" moment with the clothes...lol. Keep up the good work! Sheila
