Emotional roller coaster
I'm 2 weeks post-op.
Those of you who are post-op did you feel like you were on a emotional
roller coaster??
And smells are making me ill. I think that is from the anestha.
I can smell something and then feel like I'm going to hurl!!
Not all smells. But tonight it was my son's deodorant!!! Which usually
smells very nice to me. But it hit me wrong tonight.
I'm just wondering if others have had this same problem.
Thanks & Blessings
Tonya
Tonya I'm 4 weeks out and I still have the same problems. The smells of certain foods turn my stomach. The texture of certain foods is the same. Its almost like being pregnant and suffering from morning sickness. My friend is 5 months out and she said she is just now getting over that part of it. Unfortunately its part of the process it makes food unappealing so you don't want to eat. Good luck it will get better.
Hi Tonya...
Yes this is very typical... Certain foods that I loved prior just turned my stomach (even the smell) post ie. garlic. My surgery was 8 months ago and I'm still leerie to try it.
And then a lot of times water tastes metallic...
I just try to get by each day... it does get easier but it definiately has been WORTH IT
!!
Keep up the good work and you will be amazed with the results. Each morning I wake up... I look at myself and KNOW I am skinnier. Especially in the earlier months... it just came off so fast!
Hugs,
Rhonda
