Merry Meet! My name is Jamie and this is the first time on the KY board. LOL! Although it is not my first time to the boards in general... I am usually on the Army one! Anyways... I just wanted to say Hi and see if any of my other fellow Fort Campbell folks are here?! I am hoping to have my surgery this month so I am getting really excited! I can't wait to be on the loosing side. Anyways... I would love to meet some more local folks. I still do not have an angel either. Although I am thankful for the really supportive ladies at our group meetings. Brightest blessings~ Jamie M.

Hi Jamie, Nice to meet you... not in your neighborhood, but still not too far away. It's great news to learn that your surgery is sooo soon. You will be going through sooo many different emotions and but it is sooo normal. Everyone goes through it... please try to take one day at time and just get through it. I had mine on 05/05/04 and I'm sooo happy. You will be too. Take care and chat with you again! Rhonda

Yeah, I have already been through that flood, now I am waiting for the last minute one to hit me...LOL! I have been on the WLS Wait List for Fort Campbell since Oct 2003 so I have had plenty of time to make sure this is what I really want. Plus, this website has been such a blessing and great source of information and friendships too! Brightest Blessings~ Jamie from Fort Campbell, KY

WOW Diane--- your B&A picture is amazing! What is it like being two and a half years out? I have not met too many folks that are more than a year or so out from their surgery! Brightest Blessings~ Jamie from Fort Campbell, KY

Jamie, It's wonderful to be 2.5 years out and to be able to go into a regular store and buy clothes that don't come from the fat section.I also enjoy bras that don't look like what my mother and grandmother wore. But best of all was one of my first grade students recently hugged me and said,"Ms. Mastin, I can put my arms all the way around you. I Can't do that to my mommy!" I wanted for joy.I now wear a small or medium top. Unfortunately the bottom half is still 12 to 14. Oh well, I guess I can't have it all. YET!!! Diane

Kids can be so honest can't they? My own son told me today that "I love you at any size mommy, but I am happy that you will be skinny so that we can play again!" It broke my heart but if the truth hurts, say Ouch. KWIM? We play at the table all of the time these days b/c my knees hurt too much to get on the floor, not to mention my legs go to sleep really fast when I sit on the floor. So I guess he misses that. Anyways, I only have 7 days to go until my surgery so I am excited!!! Brightest Blessings~ Jamie 257 lbs./5' 4"/44.2 BMI Surgery Date: 1/19/05 "If you are reading this, Thank a Teacher.
