Hello Beautiful Blue Grass State..

I've not be on this board before so I don't really know any of you, but would like to drop by now and then if you don't care. Looks like several lurkers but not much talkers... My beginning weight was 268 and I'm down approx 95lbs since 05/05/04. I'm doing wonderful and am blessed that I chose to have this surgery. Anyway... nice to meet ya'll (it's a kentucky thing) and hope to get some responses!

Hi Rhonda and welcome! Glad you decided to join us. You are right, this is not a very active board. Sounds like you are doing really great, you must be getting close to your goal? I'm out 12 weeks and have lost 50# since the surgery, 85# from my highest. I am so glad I had this surgery and wish I hadn't wasted 3 years vascillating back and forth about it before I had it done! Thanks Rhonna, I'm still a little ways off from goal.... I weigh around 173 now (which I'm thrilled with). I too wish I would have had the surgery sooner, but at least I know that the previous jobs I was in would not have covered it. I got lucky when I got my current job 2 years ago to learn that they do. I will try to visit this board daily and hopefully we can get the activity going. Although I do not have a computer at home so can only get on when at work Mon-Fri 8-5. HELLO TO ALL!! I HAD MY SURGERY 8/26/04 AND WEIGHED IN YESTERDAY AT DR RODRIGUEZ'S DOWN 75LBS. I FEEL SO GOOD IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! MATTER OF FACT I THINK IT MAY BE! HOPE ALL THE BEST TO EVERYONE IN THE NEW YEAR BLESSINGS TO ALL AND TO ALL THE DOCTORS AND NURSES AT NORTONS THAT HELPED DURING AND AFTER SURGERY. THEY WERE THE GREATEST. RENEE

Hello Rhonda1 Welcome to the state mesage board. don't worry about knowing anyone. i don't know whether i know anyone personally or not. I just enjoy messageing with other who know what the whole thing is about without having to explain myself. I'm happy to read about your weight lose. I hope the new year brings you to your goal. I had my surgery in 2002. I have lose 239lbs. Istill have about 30 more lbs to go. But I'm comfortable where I am now and so is my family doctor.
