I am devastated;can't stop crying

I had no idea how hard this denial would hit me. I had the rest of my life all planned. Now that I've gotten the final word - NO. I can't stop crying. I am not going to work. for everone to say "It was God's way of telling you not to do it, blah,blah.blah... OR It'll work out, you can fix it, just give 'em what they want. Well, the bills are starting to pile in from all the pre-op test, so now not only am I depressed (which was a major problem to begin with) but I am going to be broke from paying all this $$$ out for nothing. They want more blood work results from my endicrinologist. They took enough blood themselves in the process couldn't they have looked at those results, I paid for them. And after going through that lovely psych evaluation and he signed off. Now they want my personal therapist to say I am "stable". My long-time therapist is a Psyc N.P. and the provider she works for won't let her do that. SO>>> why did my insurance get billed for the psych eval if it didn't matter. I" agree my diet history was weakly documented but St. Joe East should have looked at that long before they submitted my paperwork. I really liked Center for weight loss at St. Joe East. \But now that it has all come to an end, not only did I drop the ball I guess But THEY DID TOO>

Did you receive offical notification?? I'm sure you can appeal this decision. Don't give up!!! Has the dr.'s office contacted you yet?? If their office has experience with this they will be able to help you get approved. PLEASE do not give up that is the worse thing you can do. Call the dr. office and insurance to see extactly what you need to do next. But giving up will not be on that list!! Dry your eyes, take a shower, get ready to make some phones calls. You can do this, it is worth fighting for!! And remember when talking to these people you get more help with sugar then sh*&....Just be nice and not mean. I only say that because l have learned the hard way!! Read Philippians 4:13 " I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." All things is everything you do Kim. Oh Kim I do understand and please please don't give up. I have a dear friend who put in four appeals and just about two weeks ago FINALLY got the go ahead and is scheduled for the 22 to have a "lapband". She was given so many excuses so she started by finding all of the infor she could and started faxing everything that pertained to her case to her insurance and after about 20 faxes contaning about 60 to 70 pages each, they paid attention and realized she was serious about this. It is such a hard thing to wait and keep appealing but since you have been out so much now, do it with a vengence now... I will keep you in my prayers, and you hang tough. I always said anything worth fighting for is worth having.... Hugs Barb

Sweetie please dont give up!!! It is an awful fight for some to get approved. Appeal the decision, maybe even check into that one lawyer I cant remember his name, but he helps fight for getting the surgery approved with insurance companies. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you can gather your strength and fight this. The hard part is trying not to get your hopes up but at the same time being positive about the outcome. Do some more research on other Drs or even make calls to your insurance company and see what all they need to get it approved. Do what ever tests the Drs want done to help speed this process up. Kim, Don't give up! My angel has the same insurance as you and they denied her too. They said they didn't have all the necessary information. When she appealed, they said the same thing again. And we all knew for a fact that our insurance coord. faxed EVERYTHING to them. So she had her PCP fax the info AGAIN and they approved her last week. She now has her consult next Tuesday and will be getting her surgery date. We think BFH was just stalling to see who will give up and who won't. So don't give up. Hey Kim, Trust me I know where you are coming from, I was just denied again last week for the 3rd time.. I have CHA... they have denied me on different reasons.. So I think they are just trying to screw us over thinking we will give up...But how wrong they are !!!! .. They also told me that I have NO further options but I am waiting on some information from the ins coordinator at Georgetown, and as soon as I hear from here I'm gonna continue this journey.. Please dont give up. I received my first denial In Novemeber 2003, so this has definately been a long yr.. If you find out anything let me know and I'll do the same. Please DON'T give up. I will encourage you and you can encourage me...
