CHILI
Chili
1lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 can tomato juice (lowest in sugar)
1 can diced tomatoe's
1 large onion (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 pk. sweet n low
2-3 cans chili beans or kidney beans
salt & pepper to taste
Combine meat, onion,bell pepper, and garlic in a pot and brown. Drain excess fat. (I rinse mine off with ho****er to get rid of all the grease)
Return mixture to the stove and add chili powder, tomatoe's,juice,sweet n low, beans, and salt & pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cook for about 30 minutes. This makes quite alot, so
You can freeze this in small serving sizes and it keeps for a couple of months. I just pull out a serving, defrost it in the microwave, then reheat it.
