Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Ok people, I asked this on the main board, and as usual, I got no answer from anyone. So I'm asking it here.
The surgeon I will go to if I'm approved does a "gastric bypass distal roux-en-y with 3' of jejunal interposition to the stoma". I think that means he will bypass 3' of intestine, correct? Doesn't that seem awfully short? I have read where some have like 60" bypassed.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Linda

You probably didn't get aby feed back because I don't think most people really know that bit of info. It hasn't seemed to matter much in what people do after surgery as far as eating and recovery. My doctor said it is a patient basis for him. At your next appt. if you ask the doctor I would love to know the difference. Sorry I couldn't help.
