I have a question about pre op testing. I know after I get approved my surgeons office, Dr Shina, will call and tell me to get a list of test done before I can have surgery. What I want to know is, are these test done at a hospital or at a specialist office? Do I have to pay a copay for each separate test. Thanks and any replys appreciated. Angela

Angela, I only paid one co-pay for my lab work, chest x-ray & EKG. Then I paid two co-pays for my psych exam being that I had to go twice. Once for the psych test and once for the psych interview. I haven't received my bill yet for my appt w/ the dietician. But being that I will end up going twice I'm sure I will have to co-pays. If you check my profile out you can see what I have paid so far in co-pays and what my insurance was billed.. I have Anthem, Blue Access (PPO) insurance.. Hope this helps you a little! ~~Christina~~

Ty, Christina, it helps alot. I had my seminar Tuesday and then yesterday I went to Dr Hedden in Middleton (somewhere off Gene Synder and Shelbyville Rd) for my psych eval and he approved me to go ahead for the surgery, I paid him 10% of the psych eval which was $15, so that wasn't bad. He is supposed to fax the info over to Dr Shinas today. I paid $75 Tuesday to the dietician and have to pay $75 more when I am approved and go to this class. If my test are done at a hospital I don't think I will have a copay. I don't usually. My ins is Great West Health Care. Good luck and ty so much.. Angela
