hi, I;m 38 and am waiting for a date for surgery. I have a wonderful husband and he is a lot of help, but i am looking for a friend to keep in contact with maybe to talk and encourage me , because i am really starting to be afraid. so if you have extra time, i would be thankful.I am in a wheel chair and don't get out of the house much, moved here about 3 years ago and really haven't made any friends, so if you would like to be my friend email me and maybe i can help support you if you are going to have surgery. thanks

I am ready to go and excited. Sounds as though you will be right behind me so feel free to call or talk. I will just be one step ahead so everything will be fresh in my mind. I don't get out much either. I take care of my father who has Alzheimers and lives with my husband and I. I just can't put him in a nursing home yet. He has some very clear times still. I did have to quit work and for someone who likes people as much as I do, this has been hard. I am 52 and my children are all grown now. I could use someone to cheer me on too. Kris.

Lola, I would love to talk with you anytime. I'm a little older, I'm 56 and I'm 29 months post-op. I've lost over 225 lbs and had a few problems but none major.
