Dr. Nighbert & Dr. Steiner????

Tell'um not to let Karen sew you up!!!!!!!!!. Dr. Steiner told me she did me and I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. I think so, I hope so. She is only a PA. but she is the program director and is in the operating room with everyone. You know, Shell, when I was up there yesterday it had been awhile since I had seen any of them and it looked to me like the whole staff has gained twenty-thirty pounds each. except Amanda, of course. Now that is a hoot.

I will be sure to request she doesn't LOL Donna called me today and said that I am ready for a surgery date but that Karen has to schedule me because I am Medicare and there is a line which I knew this but Kim said the other day that the line was short and I could be havin surgery by the first week in OCT but then Donna said that there are 6 people in line she didn't mention which one I am probably 6 but it could take 4-6 weeks Now I wanna cry I have been quit smokin and no pop and cleaning house (Spring cleaning) but now it seems so far away again that it is harder to have restraints on all the nono foods and everything cause it seems like FOREVER Away..... Guess I am just venting I know there are lots of peole waiting as ummm patiently as me LOL.

Don't despair!!!!!!!! If there are only six people in line for the medicare surgery, I bet it will be soon after the first of october which isn't that far away. There are three surgeons now and they do two or three surgeries every day instead of just one or two days a week like they used to.

Delores, i don't believe everything I hear. i was just wondering what that was all about. I'm very satisfied with my choices. They're all nice people and i was taken very good care of. I wouldn't of changed any thing. Why did u go back in the hospital? hope everything is well. Linda

linda, I have had an ulcer on my small bowel right outside my pouch for about a year. it might have been there pre-op but undetected. we just don't know. Anyhow, weekend before last, I started having black tarry stools on Friday and by the time i got down to where I couldn't breathe and couldn't walk and went to the hospital, I had lost half my blood. they transfused several units of blood. Dr. nighbert treated me well, he met me at the hospital and i didn't have to go thru er or anything. When i called that morning, he knew instantly who i was and all my past problems with GI Bleeds (pre-op) even tho I am not his patient. he told me to come to the hospital to be admitted and he would leave orders for me and see me after he got in from church but when I got there, he was waiting for me, he took one look and my husband nearly carried me in and said, I think we need to give you blood". I said okay. I am fine now.

Delores, i 'm glad you're doing better. You helped me with my decision on chosing the Weight Loss Center. I know u probably don't remember, but when I first got on obh I asked if any one had any of these Drs. as I haden't even been there to meet anyone. You made me feel better about them in all ways. And yes, they all to seem to be getting pudsy( LOL! I guess they can do surgery on each other if they get too far out!!! Linda
