Anyone with Humana PPO?

Just curious if anyone has had good or bad results....hopefully I will be submitting to insurance soon and wanted to prepare myself

I have Humana PPO through UK and they approved with no problems. All I had to have was a BMI over 40 or between 35 and 40 with comorbidities. They were great. I think it depends on your employers specific policy whether they have an exclusion or not. If yours does not, then I'd say you were in for smooth sailing.

I have Humana PPO with the school system and I was approved within 3-4 weeks. I made sure I had all the paper work from the physicians office filled out thoroughly.

Deb- I have Humana PPO through as a state employee and I was approved in less than 2 weeks after submitting to them. I have my appointment with the surgeon's next Tuesday and hopefully they'll give me a date! Good luck and you may be ready to go before you know it!
