Just getting started on my journey.

Hi my name is Angela and I am just starting out on this journey. Is there anyone else from the Hardin Cty area going thru this right now? Or anyone one else getting started? My ins is Great West, thru AP Technoglass. My surgeon is going to be Dr. Mark Shina in Louisville. I would love to chat or trade emails with anyone wanting to discuss this surgery...I want to know all I can about it. Thanks.....

Whatever you do, make sure that your insurance will cover the surgeon that you have chosen. I was told that mine was but when it got to the insurance company for review, suddenly he was out of network! It was a mad scramble to schedule an appointment for the surgeon that I was holding in reserve and now the game begins again! It should be a short one since I have already have all of the information needed for my insurance company. Good luck with your journey. I used to come to E-town often for business at a nearby printing company. Beautiful town!

Thanks,Cathy, for the reply. I have called the surgeons office and my ins and both say that D.Shina accepts this insurance. I have just been reading some post on the hospital he uses, Norton Suburban in Louisville, and most of these post are not very favorable, but I guess since he does the surgery at this hospital alone, I don't have a say in it. Thanks, I like Etown also, its not to big, but big enough for me. I am from EastView and a country girl at heart...

Thank u for your response, congrats on losing the 200lbs that is great. I am so much looking forward to this! My husband is just now realizing that this is going to happen.
