For all of you who are possibly going to have surgery at Lourdes Hosp.in Paducah I thought you might like to know this. When I first saw the dietician and nurse I had to check in at oupatient desk. I spoke with someone in the finance dept. and she said the hospital works with everyone and will let you make payments. Then yesterday I get this call from them and this lady tells me I have to bring $3500 to her when I do my pre op stuff the next day. Well needless to say I did not have that kind of money just laying around. All I had was $800 left from my savings. So I was pretty upset and she said they require the deductible and your max out of pocket up front on all elective surgeries. So anyone having this done there needs to definitely know their insurance requirements before scheduling a date. But anyway,I said God how am I gonna come up with that kind of money by tomorrow. A half hour later my husbands boss walked up and handed him a $1500 bonus just because he has been working so hard! So now I have $2300 to pay the hospital so my hubby called them and worked it out and they agreed to accept what we had and work out the rest after surgery. Thank you Lord !!!
