NEWBIE

HI,MY NAME IS TONYA AND I LIVE IN MAYFIELD,KY. I DID NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT THIS SITE UNTIL A FEW DAYS AGO AND THEN MY COMPUTER WENT DOWN. I WAS SO EXCITED TO FIND YOU ALL HERE AND I HOPE TO MAKE SOME GREAT NEW FRIENDS. I HAVE BEEN GETTING ALL MY TESTS DONE SINCE THE FIRST OF JUNE AND I HAD MY LAST THING DONE ON MONDAY WHICH WAS MY IVC FILTER,AND IT WASN'T TO BAD JUST A LITTLE PAIN AND ALOT UNCOMFORTABLE. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS I GOT MY DATE SET YESTERDAY DO THE BIG DAY IS THURSDAY SEPT.9TH. WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH ALL THE TESTS IT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU GET A DATE. ANYWAY I'M HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

Tonya Hello my name is Beth I just live out at Lynnville I had my WLS 16mts ago and have done great and Dr A is the best dr also his staff is great I have lost 130pds Dr A have a b-4 and after pic of me to show ppl now that come to him and I am gonna try to make it to the next support meeting in mayfield if you want to e mail me asking me any thing feel free to do so I will help yu an way I can Take Care Huggs Beth

I'm so happy for you Welcome to the community. I want to say our little community. I love this place. I just got back on line today but seen your newbie note and wanted to say hi and tell you my name is Lydia, and I live in Henderson, KY. I decided out of the surgery for several reasons, one being my dad and mom and my son. But I'm here for you girl. I'd love to have the lap band but medicare won't cover that one. Strange people. I'm only 45 with 4 back surgerys and to much weight on this old back. lol Best of luck and remind me of the date so I can wish you well. Lydia

Hi Tonya, Looks like we have the same surgeon. My surgery will be sometimes the end of October. I am so happy to finally find the board where Dr. Argotte's patients post. I have been trying to find out all I can about him, due to all the neg. press involving WLS. My family are all in an uproar after watching 48hrs. tonight. It's great to see so many positive posts about Dr. Argotte. I feel sooooo much better now. God Bless, and Good luck with your surgery.....I'll say a BIG prayer for you....Jenni
