Insurance Worries

I have Bluegrass Family Health and I work for the school system in Louisville. Every year it seems like we lose good health insurance providers and get providers that are not so good. So it is this year. I have heard via the grapevine at work that we will have only 1 insurance provider and it's not the one I have right now. I have just begun the process of getting approved through my insurance provider and I'm afraid that if I don't get my lap band surgery soon, I'll have to start the whole process over again and wait until after Jan 1 2005 to do it. I am worried. So I guess Monday I will call insurance co and my dr's office to see what I can do to hurry it along. Anyone else have insurance through the state have the same worries?

I also have insurance through the state. I have Humana. I have heard that they are not going to offer PPO next year and that Humana is going to exclude WLS. I am hoping to get the lapband before 12/31/04. I have my first appointment with the doctor September 7.
