surgery postponed

My surgery was supposed to be today,but got postponed because of an abnormal stress test. I have to have a heart cath done on monday. I am hoping I can get the surgery rescheduled quickly. Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks, Vickey

Thanks Jill-it is good to hear to another of Dr.Bolar's patients. I have great faith in him and I know it will all be ok. I was just sooo looking forward to getting started! Someone else wrote and said,look at it this way...you get to eat whatever you want for a little while longer! Were you at the support group? I think I remember you from your picture! Hi Vickey, yes I was at the support group meeting. I was the one who talked about keeping up with your post-op surgery visits. Actually I did a lot of talking. Where were you sitting? Were you two people down from me? There were so many people there it is hard to remember everybody! Let me know if I can help in any way. Jill

Vickey, I know it stinks and you were hoping to have your surgery but keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. My aunt and cousin had surgery with Dr Bolar and he is great!!! My aunt was suppost to have her surgery and she had a pre op test done just like you and Dr. Bolar said that he want to do some more test on her. The end result was that she had a lump on her breast and we have some concer in our family. It turned out to be nothing and the surgery went on about 1 1/2 months later. To this day my aunt said that she was happy that he did that before she had WLS because she was able to concentrate on weight lose rather than her breast. I pray for you that everything works out and you become a "loser" soon. My surgery is on sept 20 so wish me luck. Your friend Lynn

Hi Lynn, Thanks so much for sharing that with me. Dr.Bolar is great isn't he? I am thankful that they are doing the tests,because as you said then,I can concentrate on the weight loss surgery! we need to keep in touch as we might be having surgery around the same time. I am hoping though if everything checks out ok on MOnday,they will go on and get me back on the surgery list. Amy at Dr.Bolars said that it wouldn't be a problem as soon as we get approval from the cardiologist. I am assuming that yours is with Dr.Bolar as well. We'll keep in touch. thanks! Vickey
