I started out at 370 lbs....less than 11 months ago I had lap rNy and now, i'm at 185 lbs, and if my math is correct, that means i have LOST 185 lbs. I've lost what I weigh now! *mind boggling* only 15 more lbs and I'll be a member of the double century club! My original goal when I went in for WLS was just to get under 200 lbs. a size 16 maybe. i just wanted to be more NORMAL. So, for me, every single pound I'm losing extra just feels like a GIFT. I'm so so so thrilled with my surgery results. I got on the scales this morning for my weekly weigh in and was stunned to see 185...even this far out i'm losing 3-4 lbs a week sometimes. I just can't believe it. whooohooooo Kat

Kat I am so happy for you and proud of you also!! You're an inspiration!! I started out at 376 and have lost 104 so far, it still boggles my mind that the weight is actually coming off. I can't imagine what it will be like to be where you are now. Lulu

My secret? LOL My website has my own tips and experiences but for me, the key is three things. Protein shakes (I drink 3-4 a day) exercise, and keeping carbs low. never more than 30 a day and usually more like 20 a day. Every person and bariatric program is different but this is what i found worked for me. I eat usually a shake for breakfast, some coffee, lots and LOTS of water (about 120-150 ounces a day) a shake for lunch, more water, a small after lunch snack like a slim whey protein bar, or salad. shake before dinner, dinner usually chicken and veggies, of some variety, and more water and then a shake right before bed. I'm never hungry and the protein has just helped me in so many ways. Kat
