YIPPEEE ....185 lbs lost! (and still losing!)
I started out at 370 lbs....less than 11 months ago I had lap rNy and now, i'm at 185 lbs, and if my math is correct, that means i have LOST 185 lbs.
I've lost what I weigh now!
*mind boggling*
only 15 more lbs and I'll be a member of the double century club!
My original goal when I went in for WLS was just to get under 200 lbs. a size 16 maybe. i just wanted to be more NORMAL.
So, for me, every single pound I'm losing extra just feels like a GIFT. I'm so so so thrilled with my surgery results.
I got on the scales this morning for my weekly weigh in and was stunned to see 185...even this far out i'm losing 3-4 lbs a week sometimes.
I just can't believe it. whooohooooo

My secret? LOL
My website has my own tips and experiences but for me, the key is three things. Protein shakes (I drink 3-4 a day) exercise, and keeping carbs low. never more than 30 a day and usually more like 20 a day.
Every person and bariatric program is different but this is what i found worked for me.
I eat usually a shake for breakfast, some coffee, lots and LOTS of water (about 120-150 ounces a day) a shake for lunch, more water, a small after lunch snack like a slim whey protein bar, or salad. shake before dinner, dinner usually chicken and veggies, of some variety, and more water and then a shake right before bed.
I'm never hungry and the protein has just helped me in so many ways.
