NEEDS HELP

Has anyone been denied by CHA because of the Hgba1c level ? and has anyone ever had an appeal where they were able to be present? if so could you please share the information with me ? I'm being told that I can not be present at the appeal... Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Debra, I too have CHA (HMO-I am a teacher). I do not have diabetes, so I have been denied twice. I attended the appeals hearing on July 29th in person at their Lexington office. I drove 100 miles and the meeting lasted about 20 minutes, and I was denied again. I am currently awaiting a decision from the external review filed on August 6th. I am hopeful that I will be lucky enough to have the review committee overturn CHA's ruling. Kim

Good Morning Kim, Would you please email me @ [email protected] with the details of how you requested to be present at the hearing. I've been told that is not possible for me to attend. The supervisor was suppose to meet with the legal dept friday and let me know something today.. any help would be appreciated. Debbie
