I had my first consultation with my doctor.

On Aug 10, I had my first consultation with Dr. Olsofka. He is so upbeat and positive! He said I was a good candidate for the lap band surgery. I was told they would send my info to the insurance company that day. I had my letter of medical necessity from my regular doctor. I hope it is enough. I am on pins & needles waiting for word from the insurance company. Dr. Olsofka said, "As soon as we know, you'll know." So, now I'm just waiting and dreaming of the time when I am have lost my weight.

I am scheduled to see Dr. Olsofka in September. I got my letter from my PCP yesterday. I was nervous about what he would say, but he really feels that I need the surgery. What insurance do you have? Have you heard anything yet?
