Medicaid approval help!

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to speed up the process with getting approval from Medicaid? If you do please let me know. I want this over with. Thank you.

I would think medicaid would be easy as long as you have the Dr say it is medically nessiccary( I know I spelled that wrong) Let me know how it goes sweetie. Oh and keep calling medicaid keep them on there toes!! Also keep on the Dr office. - Melissa

Hey Kim I haven't been approved by Medicaid YET but I did call them and all they said they needed was documented proof that I had tried other diets and failed.

Kim, Medicaid was great for me. It was my Dr who caused me to worry, after seeing him and him ordering tests after tests he then tells me he might not take the card after the first of the year. This was back in December, and so I called Medicaid and talked to their customer service and they assured me that if I was approved for the surgery he WOULD be required to do it, seeing how he took me on as a WLS patient, then 2 days later I got my approval letter in the mail from them, and I knew before the Dr's office did, they didn't get anything untill the next week!! I love Medicaid, they worked great for me!!
