Hey Vicki, I am also 10 days post op. How are you doing? I do not want to eat. I dread each meal. Also, I am having trouble getting the liquids down and I know how important that is. Otherwise, I am doing good. The soreness is mostly gone. I don't get my stitches out until July 15. I know I will feel so much better with a REAL shower or bath.
I had my surgery consultation in Feb and my surgery May 24, but that was my choice...I could have had the surgery in early April, but I wanted to wait till the end of the school year (I'm a teacher).
My insurance co. was easy, too (Anthem). The surgeon's office staff took care of all the insurance stuff. I didn't have to contact them at all except in the very beginning to find out of RNY was a covered procedure. Just my opinion: I would think the insurance co. would prefer a typed letter.
Good luck!
