How long does it usually take to get an appointment with Dr. Bolar? I am going to contact his office tomorrow. Does he treat you like a person?

Hi Sarah! I'm a patient of Dr. Bolar too! Congratulations on your surgery date it will be here before you know it! I had my surgery May 26th...please email me at work if you have any questions and I hope to see you at the next support group meeting...I think it's the 17th? It will be my first meeting after my surgery everyone is so great and you will really enjoy the meeting and get to meet his patients in person...it helps a lot when your in this pre phase to have physical contact with those that had the surgery. Dr. Bolar is a really funny guy...he has an amazing sense of humor which I didn't see in my consultation, but did during my first support group meeting and after my surgery. The hardest part for me has been adjusting to the surgery...I haven't had any pain, but have trouble just figuring out what I can and can't eat...it's a learning process, but I'm here if you need me! work: [email protected] bye for now, Michelle

Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is anything that I need to prepare before my WLS such as puchasing Protein Drinks, etc...what do I need to have on hand at home to make things a little easier. Also what do i need to bring to the hospital ? I am trying to get prepared for the surgery as well as getting prepared for Nursing School Aug 16th LOL... not to mention running the kids around to cheerleading practice and what ever else they are doin LOL...so i am a lil crazy right now....any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I just want things to go as smooth as possible.

Sarah, have you had a nutritional consult yet? I had mine a little over a week ago and the dietician handed me 30 pages of nutritional information and a sheet of what to purchase prior to surgery so you have food to eat when you get home. If your insurance doesn't require the consult, I'm sure Dr. Bolar's office has information to give you.
