I had my surgery on June 3rd and was in the hospital for 8 days due to a few complications. Thanks to Dr. Shina's careful attention to me I made it pretty good. I just started on the website and would like any tips on it. thanks, Kim

Sherry, I am very much please with Dr. Shina. I was in the hospital a little bit longer than expected. But, they thought I threw a blood clot. They did several test on me. Next, my blood count went crazy one was too high and the other was too low. Dr. Shina was very concerned and constantly checked on me, along with my other doctors. He would not even agreed to let me go home until all my doctors agreed. He cares verry deeply for his patients but sometimes he does come across as being harsh. He just tells it like it is but with me I need that. I am feeling so much better now and I thank him for that. The staff at the hospital was great! In all, I had a good experience! -- even with my complications. kim

Hi Kim. Congratulations on being home and having this procedure behind you. What kind of complications did you experience. My surgery is June 25 and I'm like a sponge at soaking up information. How was your experience at the hospital?

My experience at the hospital was wonderful. They took very good care of me. They are a very caring staff. Complications-- They thought I threw a blood clot.I went through several test. My legs was negative. But I had all the symptons. Next, my blood count was crazy. One was too high and the other too low. I did have to take 2 bags of blood. My oxygen count would drop so I was put on oxygen. It was not easy for me there for a while so I had to stay longer in the hospital. Even with the complications, I am home and beginning to feel better everyday. I feel very bless to have Dr. Shina as my doctor. He cares about his patients.
