Vitamin Help, Please

Hi, I'm in WV but I was told that there is a doctor in KY that tells you exactly what kind of vitamin you should get after surgery. I had open RNY in Oct 2003 and I'm down 81 pounds. My doctor just has me to pick up a prenatal vitamin at WalMart and it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. My labs come back low (explaining my low energy level?) and the nurse said I'm anemic. The doc says it's ok! Can/will someone please tell me what vitamin I should get? I get a B-12 shot once a month and it helps a little. I work 40 hours a week, exercise three times a day, eat right, get my protein in and all my water. I'm following all the rules but with very little energy. I really believe it's the vitamin issue. Hey there neighbor,lol. My Dr says centrum with iron is good or prenatal. Prenatal is usually the best, I wonder what is going on with yours. See if you can get more B-12. My Dr said I can't overdose on it. Maybe you can have the shot plus the sublingual B-12. Check with your Dr, and keep us informed hun.-Melissa

I also had open rny and my Dr has me on two sugar-free childrens vitamins a day (Bugs Bunny). Hope that helps. 323/184/160

Hey, that may be my Dr you are talking of. I have a list of vits I have to take if I don't take Bari-Blend vitamins. I do not have to have B-12 if I take these. They are 5 pills a day In the am--1multi and 1 mag and B12, noon is iron, pm is repeat of monring. They are packaged in three packs for the day and labels by time and what they are. I pay $30 for 30 days worth. I get mine through Dr. Nighbert. I can't find them on-line. I feel much better when I take these than when I forget them. Hope you feel better. Jennifer
