Waiting on Approval

I saw Dr. Jeff Allen on May 4, 2004. Humana has received the information and the surgery is pending for approval. I want to have the Lap band. Can anyone give me any advice as how to get the approval to speed up? I would like to have surgery around August 16 am I being realistic? Cathy Edelen , Greenville KY

Good Luck getting anything done fast threw Dr Allens office I id have him at frist till I got flat out lied to from his staff cylest not sure I spelled tat rigt or not but her and another one dont rembee her name right off hand I even e mailed Dr A about this he did e mail me back and said he would check into it that was the last I herd from him just hope you have much better luck Take Care Huggs Beth

Man, I remember waiting on the approval.. everyday seemed like a WEEK! My advice (what helped me) is to have a certain day set aside where i would "call and check the status of approval". Every week that was the call I looked forward to... then, they told me I could call daily.. so i did that too. LOL. My best advice, which is hard to do, is to be patient. Don't know much about dr. Allen, or his surgery schedule as to wheither or not August is realistic. I guess when you get approved, you'll find out!! LOL.. BEST OF LUCK!!!
