Appeals committee Meeting with CHA 5-6-04 HELP!!!

I also was denied by CHA because of the diabetes thing. I received a letter today saying my appeal hearing was also 5-6-04 but they didn't say anything about coming in. THey said I could schedule a teleconference if I wanted to. Are you going in or just talking on the phone? I don't know what I will say either, except why I think they should pay for the surgery.

What is the "diabetes thing" that your talking about? i didnt know that insurances had new criteria about it please tell me.. take care Kim

I'm going. I have an appointment at 2pm tomorrow. I have decided to take my cpap with me and ask them if sleep apnea isn't life threatening as well. good luck! Bridget

May 6 must be the day for this My son also can have a telcon. on that day. He was also denied because of the "new Critieria" of diabetes. Good Luck to all of you, Trish

File an appeal. And if that don't work, contact www.obesitylaw.com Plain and simple don't let them allow you to die at an early age because of obesity. If you were a smoker and had cancer you would not have to fight them for surgery, WHAT IN THE HECK IS THE DIFFERANCE???????????? Fight my friend, fight!!!!!!!!!!!
