Using St. Joe East??

I have been reading this message board, it is a wonderful thing to share so much information, and to be so supportive to each other. I was curious I have completed all of my pre-op screening test. But the Psch. Evaluation has me a little confused. I noticed that there is a few of you that are using the same group that I am using and have seen the same Pschologist that I seen. When I left him he told me that he hoped that he would be seeing less of me. He said it was his sick was of saying good luck. But before this he ask me if I would be upset if he refered me to see a counselor. He gave me a list of people and told me to go over this list with my pcp and decide on one. So does this mean that the process will not move forward until I have begun seeing someone?? I can't get in to see my pcp until the middle of next month. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kathy, I really don't know about the process if he suggests a counselor. Why don't you call the Center for WLS and ask them if they can tell you if that will delay the process. I am sure they could help. Good Luck, Sharan (Dr. Steiner' patient)

Me too, me too, Dr. Steiners patient. That little short guy took my gallbladder out yesterday and the nurses were telling me that all his patients adore him. I know I do. Also, my experience with the hospital this time was wonderful.

Don't worry. I am a patient of Dr Nighbert's and the psych guy told me the same thing. I had my surgery on Jan 6th and am still searching for a counselor. I do think its a good idea as it will help you through your ups and downs. You will do just great and I look forward to meeting you in one of our support group meetings! Rhoda
