Any help in finding financing?

My wonderful crappy insurance approved and denied me in the same day. Seems that they stopped paying for the surgery in Dec of 2003. I am wondering if anyone has had to find financing? Where is a good place to look and not be ripped off with high intrest rates. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Shirley

Shirley, I would try an appeal first before you try to do any financing. If you have co-morbidities (which according to your profile you do) a lot of times people get approved on appeal. The insurance companies are playing these games and it just isn't right. Jill

Jill, I have argued with the insurance company for a hour on the phone, I have not received a rejection letter, it was just approved and denied within 10 mins of the call when the Dr office called for pre-authorization. I'm not sure how to go about a appeal. I am lost here but I am not giving up. I have never done anything for myself and I am determined to have this done. Thanks for your reply Shirley

hello shirley, my name is john turner and i am having the surgery on may 19th. although i paid a rather large down payment, i did receive financing on the remainder of my surgery through MediCredit.com online forms for loan application was very easy. the response time was fast, and the loan officers are extremely caring and considerate. I think you should give them a try. Although the finance charges are a little high, the benefits of the surgery will out weigh (no pun intended) the costs of the financing.
