High blood pressure- postponed sugery

Hi, I just registered today.... I had a surgery date, last tue. , but my doctors would not operate due to my high blood pressure. I go this Fri. to see if it has gone down, but now i'm a little worried that it wont happen. Has anyone had this problem? If so, I sure would like to hear from you... Thanks, Deb

Hi, my surgery date is May 27th. I just saw a cardiologist to get clearance for the surgery. My BP was high 152/110 but it usually is when I see a new doctor(nerves) and I explained that and he cleared me. I have also never taken BP pills. How did they know you had High BP? Did you read high when you showed up for surgery that day? And they turned you away? I hope your BP goes down and you get to have WLS. I'm sure the doctors realize it will go down as you lose weight...Good luck.
