Need some help here....

Ok this is like my second post ever... But today I have been all over the internet and trying to get infor about some appeal letters to send to my insurance. I have an exclusion in my policy but they just told me about this 7 months later. The only letter that I got from them was a denial for not meeting their criteria. Which was a 6 months evaluation with another dietician. That was it. They also sent a letter to my BTC in Columbus Ohio with the same information. My insurance is Great West and its my husbands and the exclusion says this. Charges for the treatment of obesity, weight reduction or dietary control, including, but not limited to: treatment, services and supplies related to an ileojejunal or gastric shunt operation (regardless of Medical Necessity). I need help in writing appeal letters. If anyone can help me please? Thanks..

Terri, I had to appeal mine also. I had CHA but if I can help you in anyway, don't be afraid to email me. I'm off work for a while so I'll have lots of time on my hands. (one week tomorrow!)
