I GOT A DATE!! But...

Date of surgery is gonna be February the 26th!!! The "but" is my employer is kinda throwing a three year old fit, and have scheduled a "meeting" with me in the morning. I'm terrified they are gonna tell me i can't take off. If they do, i'm taking off either way, even if that means not working for them anymore... Does anyone have any tips?!??! Thanks in advance!

tell them that this will save your life and you are going to have to have it regardless and that you hope they will understand that it is not negotiable and you have to have it the date your surgeon scheduled it because of ins. reasons. Try not to make them mad. if you quit or they fire you, will you have insurance for he surgery/ Good luck

I have a surgery date of 03/18/04 and my employer is give me the same probem, I am giving them notice that I will be having surgery, I am having the sugery to save my life, I hope that everything goes well with your employer and your surgeon, another tip, get a letter from your primary care physician saying this surgery is necessary to improve your health and give that to your employer Tori
