everything has gone so fast for me

I went to my first seminar on 12/16/03 and had my first appointment with Dr. Argotte on 12/24/03. I had my stress test, lung test, bloodwork and saw the bariatric coordinater and dietician on 1/7/04. then i had an upper scope on 1/28/04 and saw they shrink on 2/2/04. I went to my first support group meeting 2/3/04. I saw the doctor today for the third time, everything is ready and he is sending the paper work to my insurance. Has anyone else had it go this fast or did i just get really lucky? Donna

Donna, Yes you are very lucky, but not alone! I too had a very fast journey. I decided in June that I wanted to have surgery. I first decided to try the Bariatric treatment center in Ohio, but my insurance wouldn't cover it. I then got a list of doctors that they would cover. Once I decided on the surgeon I wanted it all went very fast. I had my first appointment with him on August 6 2002 and had surgery October 24 2002.
