Can anyone give me some idea as to the type of service/ support one can expect from this hospital staff as a post-op patient? What was your experience? Thanks for the feedback!

Great place. Private rooms. Just make sure someone is with you most of the time. They do seem to be short staffed sometimes. Also take responsibility for yourself and watch what they give you to eat. They tried to give me sodas and sugared popsicles. When you leave make sure they send you an itemized bill. Check it. That saved me $2100.00! When there is a problem they do try to fix it although you will find problems in every hospital. I do like Nortons.

Thanks Mary!! I've become so accustomed to the "small town" mentality - that I find myself questioning anything beyond the familar. I've heard mixed reviews from my colleagues. My sons are grown and it is only me left at home - although I will have a girlfriend to stop in and visit. I hope that I am alert and strong enough to ensure I receive proper care. I scan this website daily as part of my quest for information. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot to add right now. By the way, good luck on your trip. My two cents worth: Unless you plan on snacking on the leftovers for later - just eat what you can and leave the rest. I've just now learned to throw out left overs. I've been conditioned and guilt-ridden from my up bringing to not throw away good food when there are sooooo many starving children in the world. LOL. Saving doesnt feed them either - go figure! Anyway, if I havent told you lately, just want to reinterate how much I appreciate your support and mentoring through my wls journey. Good Luck
