I am 62 years old. Is there a age limit for all Drs? I hope to hear from some one soon, before I go any further. And if there is a limit, what are the risk factor? Thank You, Linda

Linda, the cut-off age for most of the docs in Kentucky is 60. You can go under the find a doc section of here and look at the doctors listed. Each one has their age regulations listed when you click on to the place that lists their qualifactions.

Linda, Many doctors have a cutoff limit of 60 years and when I started looking for a surgeon I faced that as I was 64 at the time. Dr. Earl Gaar of Louisville who has done over 700 bypass surgeries has a cutoff of 65. After months of dealing with the insurance I was 65 before I obtained approval and Dr. Gaar did my surgery September 26, 2003 and I have lost 80 pounds and have had no problems. If you need more information please email me at [email protected] Joanna
