ANOTHER JENNIFER BOWMAN UPDATE!

I visited Jennifer today in the hospital and she's doing soooo well! The only thing is she's having trouble with is the usual pain getting up and down but she's walked a bunch. As of this morning she had walked 6 times, several laps around the hallways!! She even got her cathyter (sp?) out the first day! The doctors say she can go home tomorrow. She IS having a little trouble with pain during deep breaths but I think maybe she's just bruised internally from the surgery. They do a lot of stuff in there don't they?! She's also having trouble with the nurses. They hardly ever check on her and she has to wait sometimes for 45 minutes or more for medications or to switch her salene. They even told her they ran out of those little pillows we use to get up with! She was in pain and rang for her meds and they didn't get there for 45 minutes and they told her "next time don't let the pain get so bad before you call" She couldn't believe it! She HAD called them! Oh well, she'll be home tomorrow. It's just so awesome how well she's doing. SHE DID IT!! So be sure and e-mail her. I have a feeling she'll be back on as soon as possible. I'm so glad to hear that Jennifer is up and moving around. I know she was terribly worried before surgery and I bet she's glad it's over. It kinda makes me worry about the problems with the hospital though. I have heard very conflicting things about the nursing staff. Please give Jennifer my best and tell her congratulations!!!!
