Insurance not approving wls?

Rhonda - I have been trying to get approval from Humana PPO since early october. I filed an appeal on their denial of "obesity" surgery. My diagnosis is morbid obesity with co-morbidities. I was denied again. Walter Lindstrom sent them a letter on my behalf on January 5, 2004. No response received to date. I can be contacted this weekend at [email protected]

Ronda I have BC/BS Blue Access. I have been told that they no longer cover WLS. The doctor that I contacted sent me a letter stating that the insurance would not cover my surgery, so I would be a pre-pay. Which I can't afford.
