dr allens longggggggg delays

thanks to all of you *****plied back... i want to elaberate a bit more on my original posting....i EXPECTED some sort of delay...i knew that this office had a 3 mile long waiting list... the two things that really bugged me though , was that i was told TWICE when to expect some sort of call...and when i had called to see why i HAD NOT been called i asked if i was on a list (ahem ..to get ON a list)...and then i asked (to whomever it was i talked to) to check and see if my name was listed ANYWHERE...the reply i got was..."if you caLLed then youre on a list"...AND I SERIOUSLY QUESTION THIS...now it would not have taken this person 30 seconds to hit the computer keys and just check if my name was listed ANYWHERE but i got basically brushed off... when i had called to ORIGINALLY make an appointment , the person i spoke to didnt seen to want to take any information ...almost like i was interrupting her lunch (mmm..or maybe filing her nails) the other thing that bothers me...is that my sons mother in law...who is on a medical card (im beginning to wonder if the fact there was no insurance company to do battle with..hence less work) got in ,in practically no time... ive heard in prior postings that dr allen has ..ahem... less than congenial office people... he really may be a fantastic doctor...ive only heard good things about him personally... but i dont like being made feel like the office is doing me a favor just to answer a phone... im going to be looking for another office.....anyone have any recommendations in a 50 mile radius of elizabethtown....!!!??????? please write back at [email protected]

The Center for Weight Loss Surgery is in Lexington about 80 miles from E-Town.

My surgery was on 10/29/03 with Dr. Randall Bolar (859-233-0572) in Lexington...great office staff, great surgeon, great care...I have been most pleased. I have lsot 50 pounds in 10 weeks..I had LAP RNY!!! There will be a support group for his patients on the 17th of January at 10 a.m. at Samaritan Hospital...the meeting is to talk about plastic surgery but you could at least meet and greet other patients....I am nowhere near ready for plastic surgery but I am going. I know what you are going threw I frist had Dr Allen I thought the world of him but asfar as his office staff goes they can kiss my ass I was flat out lied to by them. When I found my new Dr in mayfield ky Dr Argotte it only took about 1 mth to get all paper work threw get approved and have my WLS.I even mailed dr Allen on what had happen he emailed me back and said he would check into it I dont know if he did or not cause 1yr later was when I finally got approved by them and I had done been approved by other dr and had a date and when they called me to tell me I was approved it was not for the operation I told them I wanted to have it was for the lapband cause as soon as I found out my INC and med card would not aprove it I told them I wanted it changed to the bypass they told me they would do it I called later to find out if that had been summited for bypass they said (YES) just waiting on approvial Im so thankfull for the dr I found I think he is the greatest and never had any problems with his staff. I had my WLS on 4-16-03 and have lost over 110 not sure how much over last tmie I got weighted was on dec 19 I go again on 1-19 the scales said 150 then but im in a size 4i know alot of the weight is fro the extra skin I have now so Im not trying to los any more weight with getting into a size 4 jeans. I have Dr. Gaar same office staff. It is not the Docs fault it is the poor office staff....report it to the doctor!!!
