Hi, I'm new to this

Hi, My name is Rhonda, and I'm new to this site. I'm thinking very seriously about having surgery. I've wanted it for a long time, but I very scared, about the whole thing. I've been over weight all my life. I'm 38 (soon to be 39) and I weight 268 lbs. I'm so tired of the ups and downs of dieting. I've tried just about everything there is to try. I'm in contact with Dr. Bolar in Lexington, Ky. If anyone knows anything about him, please let me know. Thanks

I just had my surgery on 10/29/03 and I loved Dr. Bolar. I cannot sing his praises high enuff...he was wonderful and I have had no problems. I have lost 34 pounds thus far and I cannot be happier. Hi Rhonda. My name is Debbie and I'm 2 months out. Forget Dr. Bolar, he is not your man. Get in touch with Drs. Ed Nighbert and Josh Steiner at the Center for Weight Loss Surgery in Lexington. I agree Dr Nighbert is the way to go!!! I have been told many patients with Dr Bolar have had to have redo's. Karen Hillenmeyer is excellent as the program coordinator. The whole staff is amazing and the new facility is great. I am preop also having my surgery on January 6th. From day one- the end of November they have been there for me and really care about me and want each and every person to be a part of the group for Life! Good luck!

Ronda, I agree with the Dr. Neighbert, Dr. Steinert patients. I am with that group and they are PERFECT. I am scheduled for the 23rd of Jan and they have called to check on me, make sure I am scheduled for everything, I have really not had to take care of any of it. I just show up. The best part, they worked so hard, I only had to wait 2 weeks from the date they sent my very first letter to the ins. company that I was approved. They are awesome.
