Dr. Alex Gandsas???
Robin, one of my good friends had surgery with Dr. gandas and just loved him. I think her surgery was right before he left kentucky. The day after he left she ended up back in the hospital and he turned around and came back. Now that's a doc!!!!!!!!! My surgeon took a few of his patients over after he left. he had been best friends with Dr. gandas and they had gone to med scool together. The only thing I would be concerned about is the fact that both these people i know went to my doc and complained that they were losing too slow. And they were. Come to find out, Dr. gandas had left their pouches about 6 or 8 ounces. Ours is only two ounces. Luckily, my surgeon from his relationship with Dr. gandas knew this and was able to encourage them and get them in with our nutritionist. That program had also allowed many foods that we are not supposed to eat fresh post-op. Like mashed potatoes and etc. So once they got their diets changed and began measuring their food, they have done fine altho a little slow still. But I have heard nothing but good things about Dr. Gandas.
Hi Robin,
I had my surgery with Dr. Gandsas 04/03/03. I love him and think he was definately the best surgeon in this area. Last I heard his mortality rate was 0, and not many doctors can say the same thing. He is thorough in his screening and considerate when it comes to his patients.
We all loved him soo much here that we gave him a going away party along with a plaque dedicating our appreciation.
Some of his patients are slow losers as well as some of everyone elses patients. I have lost 111 pounds in 8 months. I dont care if this is fast, slow or normal: I think it's great and He is great.
