Looking for a good tasting protein shake.
Hey everyone,
I know this is a question that is asked often, but does anyone know of any good tasting protein shakes. I'm 2 weeks pre op and I've been sampling and testing "Spiru-tein" Yuck I've tried just about all the flavors hoping to find a decent one and the only one that I could stand was chocolate. I also went to www.wlssuccess.com and ordered a sample of Amino sumthin' or other. I'm frustrated already 'cause I'm GOING to have this surgery but I'm NOT going to lose my hair.
Please help me somebody.
Sincerely,
Tammy - Cleveland, Oh
Hello Tammy,
First let me say congrats on your date! I hope to see you on the losing side soon. My date is just a few days away 12/10.
I ordered some samples from www.bariatriceating.com they have some great flavors.
I hope you find one that you like.

Hi Tammy, I'm 6 days post op and can not take protein shakes. They are further on down the food chain. Anyway, people were talking about a protein shake that WalMart had but I don't remember the name of it. So check there, hopefully someone will answer and give you the name of it. God bless you on your journey!! Jill
Hey Tammy, I've got an awesome protein shake. Go to GNC (General Nutrition Center) . They have protein shakes called Protein 95, it comes in a big black jug with red label. Anyway, they have Vanilla, Chocolate (wouldn't recommend it) , Banana, and Strawberry (my favorite ). You mix one scoop with 8 oz water or milk for a creamier texture, gives u 25 grams of protein and mixed with milk tastes an awful lot like Strawberry Nestle Quick . I'm serious !!! I get the 4 pound jug, lasts forever it seems like, and cost about 30 bucks. The flavor is great, the texture bothered me at first, kinda chalkey with water, but I actually find myself craving it now if I haven't had it in a couple days. Give it a try when the doc says u can. Best of luck, Jennifer G.

Hi, my name is Debbie. I'm two months out and I have to say that Real Meals has a great tasting chocolate and vanilla protein shake mix. I found them on the net. You can order samples from their site to give it a good taste testing. Oh, by the way, don't buy large quantities of protein shakes. After the first month, my doc said I didn't have to drink it anymore. He said as long as I'm getting enough protein from the food that I eat, I don't need it. He also said I could eat protein bars as a supplement. Atkins has the best tasting bars that I've found. Just don't start eating solid foods until it's time. Good luck and God bless!
