"Right Weigh" of Louisville no longer exists!

Found out today that Right Weigh the company that hosts support group meetings and provides aftercare education for gastric bypass patients at Norton Suburban Hospital is no longer under contract with Norton as of Dec.1st. My husband and I both paid 95.00 as mandatory fees for "follow up care" to be provided by them. I found out when I called my Doctor's office to check on the status of my surgery approval. It seems Norton decided to part ways with the program. Dietician and educator Ashley Richardson is also no longer involved in the program as well.

That doesn't seem right..Are you going to try to get your money back by the way..And I wonder why Norton don't have anything to do with them anymore..That makes me nervous..Please keep us updated...

I, too, got notice of this. I wasn't sure if the program was not going to exist anymore or if it was just moving to a different facility or what. I have emailed Right Weigh and Norton Healthcare to try to find out more, but I have a feeling we won't get a reply. I'm going to put a message out to Ashley to see if she will respond. I'm very pleased with Dr. Geller's surgery but I, too, thought the $95 fee was for a lifetime of support and education for the bariatric program. I didn't hear Ashley was no longer involved, so she may not read the message.

Rebecca, definately keep after them to find out if they are going to get another company to do the follow up care or demand a refund! That is horrible. I can't believe they are just letting it go like that. How is Mike doing??? You can email me privately if you'd like. I hope all is well. Hugs. Ruthie

I would keep knocking their door down to get that money back. I was looking into them for my surgery, but I got bad vibes from them. I always read good reviews on how well Dr. Shina did his procedures, but the staff had little to be desired for. Wish ya luck, Carolyn
