Hello my fellow Kentuckians!! Happy Thanksgiving to all us loosers! I spent the day today getting some shopping done and as I was lugging in the playstation 2, wrapping paper, turkey breast, 19 in TV, and so on... I realized that this would be the last year it takes me 30 minutes to unload the car because I have to stop and catch my breath. I hope it will be the last year my back aches and my feet swell after a day of shopping. I felt myself become very excited about next year! I know that my family and friends are getting sick of hearing me say 16 days, 15 days, 14 days... but oh well.... I'm excited... a bit scared but I'm really really anxious I can't wait to say I'm a looser and that be a good thing!

Hi Lyda, I understand about the feelings you are having. My surgery is Monday and I've been counting down since day 45. Believe me it flies by and before you know it will be here. I still can't believe that my day is just around the corner. I am anxious but I know that all will go well! Enjoy your holiday and keep counting... May God Bless YOU! Jill

Thanks Delores. I will post my progress when I get home. I'm not sure how long I will be in the hospital with the open surgery. I guess I'll find out next week. May God Bless YOU! Happy Thanksgiving! Jill

Hey Jill, good luck on Monday !!! You'll do just great. I had the open RNY back in May of this year, I had 37 staples, and went in the hospital Wednesday morning for surgery, and went home Friday afternoon. It's amazing what they can do these days. The worst problem I had those first few days was forgetting to hold a pillow against my incision when I got up. Be sure to do that, it really helps the discomfort. Honestly tho, I had 2 c-sections, and this surgery was not as bad recovery-wise as those . Let us know as soon as you feel like it, I'll say a prayer for you !!! Jennifer
