COFFEE NOG
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup water
2 egg yolks -- beaten
dash ground nutmeg
2 cups coffee -- decaf, strong
2 tablespoons Splenda sweetener
whipped cream -- garnish,optional
nutmeg -- garnish, optional
-combine cream & water in a medium heavy saucepan.
-Combine egg yolks,Splenda & nutmeg;add to cream mixture.
-Cook & stir over medium heat till mixture coats a metal spoon.
-Add the coffee to the cream mixture, beating with a whisk to combine.
-If desired top each serving with whipped cream & a sprinkling of nutmeg
-For 6 servings, each serving is: 2 carbs
-For 8 servings, each serving is: 1.5 carb
